What kind of feeding pattern is better for egg production? The regular feed, scratch and vitamin water will produce a better quality egg because vitamins are supposed to help people stay strong and healthy. The chickens will lay more eggs, the yolks will be darker and the egg size larger. Procedure:
Materials: Put three chickens in one group (A). Put three other chickens in a separate group (B). Put regular feed, scratch and vitamin water in group A and regular feed, scratch and regular water in group B. Let the chickens eat this diet for ten days while collecting all of the eggs. Observe the first ten eggs from each group for size, weight and yolk color. Let both groups eat a regular diet for ten days. Then reverse their diet. Put regular feed, scratch and vitamin water in group B and regular feed, scratch and regular water in group A. Let the chickens eat this diet for ten days while collecting all of the eggs. Observe the first ten eggs from each group for size, weight and yolk color. Conclusion:Some of my hypothesis was correct and some was incorrect. The diet of regular feed, scratch and vitamin water produced more eggs, a lighter yolk and a smaller egg size. I think this happened because the vitamin water enhanced the diet of the chickens to speed the processes to lay an egg. The yolk was lighter due to the color of the water when vitamins were added. When the chickens in group A were taken off the vitamin water diet they stopped laying eggs. I do not know why this happened. Biblical Application:Matthew 6:25 says, "Therefore I say to you, take no thought for life what you shall eat, or what you shall drink, nor yet for you body what you shall put on. Is not the life more than meat and the body than raiment?" God will provide for all what we truly need. He is the father and care taker of the earth and will provide food and shelter to fit our needs. We really should not worry about buying the best or what is in style. |
